Meet jill

THE HANDS BEHIND SKINCURESS

I started Skincuress for freedom.

Freedom to perform corrective treatments while still honoring the holistic touch that makes a facial feel like so much more than skincare.

That freedom has allowed my work to evolve into something deeply intuitive. I completely immerse myself in every treatment allowing my hands, body, and intuition to guide the experience. No two facials are ever exactly the same. Each treatment is bespoke, created in that moment for the person in front of me.

There is an art to that.

Skincuress is corrective, but it is also somatic. It's craftsmanship, intuition, magnetic, and intentional.  I want you to leave feeling like you experienced something outside of yourself a complete reset, almost a rebirth.

Being able to create that kind of experience is what has made me completely obsessed with connecting with others. It’s why I continue to do this.

This has always been intentional. It’s alchemical. And it goes far beyond sculpting.

About this Experience

What is a somatic facial?

A somatic facial combines traditional skincare with body-based touch therapy — it's designed to release physical tension and emotional stress that's stored in the face, jaw, and neck, not just improve the skin's appearance.

Frequently asked questions

Is it just a massage, or a facial too?

Both. Every Skincuress treatment pairs clinical-grade facial technology — Hydrafacial hydro-infusion, professional peels, LED, microcurrent — with hands-on bodywork like buccal massage, myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, and Gua Sha. You're not choosing between a facial and a massage; each session is built to give you both.

What is buccal massage?

Buccal massage is a facial technique that involves massaging the inside and outside of the cheeks. It targets facial tension, boosts circulation, enhances lymphatic drainage, and naturally lifts and sculpts the face. It’s often called a “natural facelift” without needles or downtime.

What is a lymphatic drainage facial?

Skincuress lymphatic drainage is a  rhythmic massage technique designed to stimulate the body’s lymphatic system. It helps remove toxins, reduce fluid retention, and boost circulation for a healthier, more sculpted, and decongested complexion.

What are the benefits of these treatments?

Lymphatic Drainage:

  • Reduces puffiness and inflammation
  • Enhances skin tone and glow
  • Boosts immune function
  • Supports detoxification

Buccal Massage:

  • Relieves jaw tension and TMJ symptoms
  • Defines cheekbones and jawline
  • Stimulates collagen production
  • Increases blood flow and skin elasticity
How long does a session take?

The Buccal & Glow — 1 hour

The Somatic Sculpt — 1 hour 30 minutes

Signature Skincuress Facial — 1 hour 30 minutes

The Full Edit — 2 hours

Does buccal massage hurt?

Buccal massage uses firm, targeted pressure to reach tension that's often been held for years — especially if you clench or grind your teeth — so some areas can feel tender or intense in the moment. It shouldn't be painful. Jill works with your comfort level throughout, and pressure is always adjustable. Many clients describe it as a "good" kind of intense that gives way to real relief once the tension releases.

Some reviews mention feeling emotional or releasing "stored trauma" during a session — is that normal?

Yes, completely normal — and more common than you'd think. The face and jaw hold a surprising amount of stored tension, and releasing it physically can bring up emotion you weren't expecting. The space is built for that. If you need to pause, breathe, or cry, that's part of the process, not an interruption to it.

How soon will I see results — is it visible after one session, or does it take a few?

Many effects are immediate — reduced puffiness, a visible lift, and an instant glow are common right after a single session (that's the idea behind The Full Edit, designed for exactly that pre-event result). Deeper shifts — like lasting tension relief in the jaw or long-term changes to skin texture and tone — build over multiple visits, especially if you're working through tension that's been held for a long time.

Is this safe during pregnancy?

Lymphatic drainage is generally safe and even beneficial during pregnancy (especially for facial puffiness), but always consult your healthcare provider first.
